Open Delphos Project
Introduction
Delphos is a decision-support tool that utilizes multicriteria analysis (MCA). Delphos is developed by Ecotrust in partnership with Comunidad y Biodiversidad (COBI) and World Wildlife Fund (WWF). The documentation included with Delphos is tailored for the selection of fisheries and marine protected areas. However, Delphos is general enough to be used towards the analysis of any type of alternatives.
Delphos: Fisheries
Delphos: Fisheries is a decision-making tool for selecting suitable candidate fisheries for MSC certification. It can be used to evaluate fisheries anywhere in the world and in any size region. The program will guide you through a data-gathering and analysis process that is compatible with your institutional and project goals.
The process includes: defining goals, defining timelines, defining a region, identifying and consulting experts, holding workshops, using questionnaires, reviewing recommendations, designing a database, inputting data, weighting criteria, multicriteria analysis, interpretation of results and next steps.
